How do I set up my email addresses?

So you have just purchased a hosting package from Engage24... how do you set up your desired email addresses?

This is easy and we will explain below.

* Please note the instructions below explain how to CREATE your desired email addresses on our servers. We cannot provide instructions here for how you then set up these email accounts on your computer/tablet/phone, as there are so many different devices and email programs. We suggest you Google "how to set up email account on xyx" or ask our friendly technical support team.

OPTION 1 - INDIVIDUAL EMAIL ACCOUNTS:

Simply log into your CONTROL PANEL using the details sent to you in the email with the subject "New Account Information". The URL, username and password are all in that email. Once you have logged in, under the 'Mail' section you will see "Email Accounts". Click on this option and you will be taken to a screen where you can set up your email addresses. Simply enter the desired email address, password and mailbox size. (Remember that your hosting package comes with a certain amount of disk space (see package details) so your mailboxes will use that purchased space. Any space not allocated to your mailbox/es will be used for your website's files and other stored items).
You then need to set up these email accounts on your computers/tablets/phones.
The details required in order to set these up are also in the "New Account Information" email we sent to you.
NOTE: If you set up your own email addresses as guided above, the username & password when setting up the account on your device/s will be the email address & password you chose and *NOT* the username & password in the email we sent.

OPTION 2 - ONE CATCH-ALL EMAIL ACCOUNT:

If you would like to use your main email box that comes with your account (this is the first 8 letters of your domain name, as listed in the email) and accept mail for <ANYTHING>@yourdomain.com (a catch-all) then please follow these instructions:
Log into your CONTROL PANEL. Once you have logged in, under the 'Mail' section you will see "Default Address". Click on this option.
Here you will see your domain name, and the current setting (Unrouted email results in a 'No such user' reply). We want to change this to point to your mailbox.
So, click on "Avanced Options" and select "Forward to your system account".
You're done!
Now all email sent to your domain name will come to your main email box for your account.
NOTE: If you chose this option, you simply set up your email accounts on your devices using the details in your "New Account Information" email we sent to you (ie. same 8 character username & password)

People often choose this option to ensure they don't miss emails due to typos in their name or to make marketing easier, amongst other great reasons.
Note that sometimes it can result in more spam though, so if you start receiving spam sent to users at your domain that don't exist - you may wish to switch to option 1 above.
